I’ve found that putting my thinking into writing when designing a new system leads to far better outcomes. And when I go a step further — by structuring it as an instruction manual that someone else could use to build the system from scratch, and sharing it publicly — improves the design even more. That added layer of clarity, pressure, and accountability sharpens the thinking and pushes the system toward its most polished form.
That’s the purpose of this website. I use it to share what I call manuals: notes and frameworks from the systems I’m designing as I build Sword into one of the most important companies at the intersection of healthcare and AI.
I hope you find it useful. But truthfully, I do this mostly for myself — as a forcing function to design better systems.

If any principle feels off or needs refining, I welcome your feedback. It might just spark a feedback loop that leads to continuous improvement.
